Knee pain is the most common, and most ignored, injury in basketball. Whether it's jumper's knee (patellar tendinopathy), Osgood-Schlatter's, or patellofemoral pain, our 12-week program settles the pain, rebuilds capacity through the knee, and returns you to the court with objective VALD force-plate proof you're ready. No guesswork.
Below is an example pathway for patellar tendinopathy (jumper's knee). A tendon doesn't heal by resting and hoping, it rebuilds under the right load, in the right order. Every phase has a job, and a physio gate before you progress. Your exact plan is tailored to your diagnosis at assessment.
Calm the pain and load the tendon safely. Isometric holds reduce symptoms while we establish your baseline VALD numbers and movement screen, so every decision from here is measured, not guessed.
The evidence-backed core of tendon rehab. Heavy, slow, controlled strength work remodels the tendon and rebuilds capacity through the knee, quad and posterior chain.
Reintroduce spring. Plyometrics, jump-landing mechanics and progressive loading teach the tendon to absorb and release force, the exact demand basketball puts on it.
Sport-specific volume, change of direction and on-court integration. Final VALD testing confirms you've closed the gap and are cleared to compete, stronger than when the pain started.
Every option includes the full physio pathway and VALD testing. The difference is how much supervised strength & conditioning you get each week. Not sure? Book an assessment and we'll point you the right way.

Your physio and your S&C coach work in the same building, off the same plan. No conflicting advice, no message lost between a clinic and a gym, rehab and performance handled as one continuous process.
Force-plate testing measures strength, symmetry and explosiveness in hard numbers. You see the gap close and we make the return-to-play call on data, not on how the knee happens to feel that day.
This is a defined 12-week outcome, not an open-ended membership that drags on. A clear start, a clear finish, and a knee that's measurably stronger than when the pain started.
Most athletes feel a meaningful drop in pain within the first 2–3 weeks as we settle the tendon. The full program runs 12 weeks because that's how long it takes to genuinely rebuild tendon capacity and return to court stronger, not just mask symptoms. Your VALD numbers track the progress the whole way.
Yes. The physio portion is billed under our sports physio's provider number, so it's claimable on private health extras (subject to your individual policy and level of cover). The S&C program is billed separately by From Zero.
No referral needed to get started, just book a knee assessment. If you have a GP referral or an EPC/Chronic Disease Management plan, bring it along and we'll work it in where it helps.
Flares are normal in tendon rehab and we plan for them. You'll have a pain-monitoring protocol to follow, app access to your program, and direct contact with your coach and physio so we can adjust load quickly, rather than you stopping and losing progress.
Yes. You can pay the program upfront, or split it across three instalments (pay-in-3). We'll confirm the options with you when you book.
